Wallpaper

I have a fascination with these new LED displays. The one on my MacBook is awesome and images look really clear and crisp. So i love having nice background photos of stuff. In this one I took and image from The Climber Magazine and played around with Tilt-Shift editing in PS.

Field Area

A nice panorama of my field area. Great contrast and scale. The original image is 70mb large so it was reduced to fit. This is between Kaikura and Hanmer Srpings - Upper Waiau valley. Enjoy

Taupo Volcanic Zone

The present day plate boundary between the Pacific and Australian plates results in what is known as the Taupo Volcanic Zone. A NE trending series of volcanoes and calderas that form one of the most active volcanic regions in the world. 

The photos are a compilation from out post-graduate 2008 trip.

Sunset

Christchurch has some of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen in my life. The best ones form when there is a cloud over the city and the sun illuminates it's bottom side as it sets. This example is just one of the nicer sunset photos.

Skiwiana

Some black and white photography of skiing in New Zealand. The ski tracks and the clear skies make for good contrast. And the kids were just amazing, we played around for ages just taking photos and giving each other high fives. Good times. Enjoy.
